Recipes galore...As you know I have been posting recipes for a while. But, I wanted to post one for this potluck that I haven't posted yet. One that was from my family, not one from my Top Secret Recipe Cookbook. ; ) So I give you....
- Taco Pie -
1 lb ground beef
1 envelope taco season mix
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup Mexican style shredded cheese
1 1/4 cup milk
3 eggs
3/4 cup Bisquick
1. Cook you meat and onion until the meat is brown. Then drain off excess grease.
2. Add your taco season. You may need to add a little water to throughly coat your meat and onion mixture.
3. Spread the meat mixture into a greased 10 inch pie plate.
4. Sprinkle with your cheese. We use more then 1 cup!
5. Beat the remaining ingredients together in a bowl.
6. Pour this over your meat and cheese.
7. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Allow cool 10 minutes before cutting.
This recipe came from my great aunt Golda. She was almost legally blind but she still managed to make her way around the kitchen. I hope you all enjoy this as much as my family and I have!
